My Week so Far... Tuesday

Hello !

Right now I'm listening to Side 2 of
while I burn
on to cd-r.

A Ghost is Born is from another lifetime. Its crazy how years become eras, and you can't really tell till they're over and how big they are and how important they are to your self growth. That's what it's all about, more than crappy jobs, more than how much money you make, more than where you live. Deep, huh? Anyway I can't wait to hear this record , err cd-r, again. And the New Mates of State record which has been sorta standing in the pile of newer records finally got pulled to play, its good! Not awful, sorta more mellow and grown up, they even put their baby in it, haha. These types of entries are always so awkward, just me alone in my room. I like the idea of sharing my life and whats going on these days with the rest: 617, 607, 503, 415, 603. I went to this record store yesterday

and bought

!
(in mono too, yeeeeah!!!)
I like the first song on side two of bring it back For the Actor. There's even a xylophone solo -- I'm in!
This reminds me of those Schoolastic magazines I used to read while waiting in the dentist office when they'd have a small story and insert images for words every so often. I think in about a half hour I might have to get a tooth pulled, if this is the case I will delay it. I don't feel like having my tooth pulled today. I like it in there. Hmm let me see what else,
I had lunch with
yesterday, too short too soon, im gonna bring back the 3 hour lunch.
__ had the best burrito I've had since I've been here in sf, no joke. I forget the name of the place, but they musta put crack in the beans cause I couldn't stop !
I've been buying records again and gettin psyched for my age old hobby again, reading some of
I started on two new songs yesterday, one on the four track about my mom, and another one i recorded real quick before around 8 on a whim while listening to .
I gotta listen to it again sometime today, buy more tapes, I filled up the last one with two versions of Oregon Trail, both unuseable but I like to keep that sort of thing for future reference. I'm trying a whole new way of recording to keep it interesting and try to learn more about recording. This time instead of recording everything on the sm-57, I'm using that simutaneously with this other mic I've had for awhile but never used. It's more for vocals apparently. So the past couple of recordings have been done more or less live with both vocals and basic guitar at the same time. So, getting adjusted to the new mic levels and such. Before I would just record the music and then the vocals as a separate thing entirely, all with one mic too to keep that constant, but now it's a little more to tackle with but I think good to learn how to do. And a lot quicker certainly. I used to stay constant with levels and such but I'm sorta seeing how you can't keep things at a constant you have to adjust to each song on its own. You can't have these rules that you apply to every situation, every song and every time you sit down to record it will be different. "I think".
So I'm getting into the habit of not remembering what I did last and just recording it the best way for Now. More pictures?
ok.
Heres a small series I started back in Boston maybe 98 I realized after looking at them on Iphoto
today,

I think I have to go prepare myself to Good-bye to my tooth. Shucks.
