My Weekend so far....

Friday
listening to Beat Happening (the first record)

I worked ! My job was at this company in the Embarcadero center who had just moved offices, and it's my duty along with another worker to help make the movie easy for the employees. The job was alright, we organized their supply closet, fille with paper, folders, staplers, white out, etc. The best part about it was they kept coming and telling us what a good job we were doing. I liked that immediate reaction to the work. It goes the same with mt art. Anyway, I ended up going to lunch with a few of the workers, one was real cool and we had a few things in common in our past. I think partiers have like radar or something. Past partyers anyway. So the day was alright and the only downside was that I ended up having to move a bunch of crates into this room and stack them 20 high! But that wasn't even bad, it made me feel good actually. I got done with work and had a message waiting from me and called back and rode off to The Hemlock to see about some tickets to a show later in the evening. I found tickets were available at 9 30 in the pm and rode to Anne's house. We ended up playing Guitar Hero for like 10 hours before the show, it was so fun. I can't wait to get good so the fun can last longer and better. I think thats a fault of mine, not enjoying things as they are and instead always thinking they could be funner, at least with that sort of thing. Whatevs, we still burned down the house. Anne took it upon herself to be president of her own fanclub, she was perhaps the greatest guitarist to lay fingers on those four colored keys ever, well in her own words, more or less. I told her I was glad she thought so cause no one else was saying nothin, ho ho ho. We had some indian food for dinner, dishes, i saw the clean backroom closet, jeans and boots - goddamn!, working and what it means, we're kids plain and simple, and we're off! biking down market through dark drizzle. Riding up polk after a meal proved easier than i thought but still my stomach was churning. we got to the hemlock and saw a line twisting around but still made it inside. grabbed some drinks, spoke of the Older Crowd, and saw a couple of bands before Cass Mccombs, which we saw front and center. He even played So Damn Pure and Not the Way. There was this girl who decided to sit on the floor next to anne, but i really dont know why. Yep. the shit ruled but honestly I couldnt help but relate everything back to Guitar Hero. After that we rode to the Diner on Market we went to last time, I ordered a brownie sunday YUM, and a grilled cheese sandwich for Anne YUM.
